Our Story
Many Phases to Create the Right Solution
Planning phase
During his childhood, Dr. Kyle Ferroly found himself asking a lot of “why” questions when others went with the flow. He was the kid who cared about strangers and felt empathy for those he didn’t know.
Into his college years, he was always reading the room, the vibe, wanting to hear someone’s real story. After completing a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Human Ethics, Kyle met the Director of a local residential treatment facility and became a mentor for troubled youth and their families. He also gained experience at an AODA clinic during this time. The drive to help people live happier, healthier lives led to a Master’s in Counseling and becoming a Therapist.
Collaboration Phase
In addition to his talk therapy practice, Kyle also built a music studio under the same name to create and record custom audio programs using brainwave entrainment, marketed to clinicians and therapists.
2004: A Light of Hope Company
Blinders on Phase
As he began his career in talk therapy and opened A Light of Hope, Kyle experienced a quick uptick in clients due to his innate ability to listen and care. The most challenging aspect at this time was that Kyle, unfortunately, took all his work home, constantly worrying about clients and things beyond his control.
Reality Check Phase
A heart-wrenching client suicide brought the reality that there may be more to helping his clients than talking. Kyle found himself wanting something more after pondering what may limit spoken word and support for creating change in tough cases. It turns out because the flight or fight response can temporarily shut down part of the brain, people are hearing, but not really listening, when professionals are trying to help. Kyle learned this is why people go to therapy for a long time, but change can be slow for some.
Personal & Professional Growth Phase
During these early years, Kyle’s main support and mentorship came from the late Dr. Anne Weston. Her background in Biofeedback pushed Kyle to investigate both the intriguing worlds of Biofeedback and EEG Biofeedback/Neurofeedback as a way to further serve his clients. With Dr. Weston’s urging, he sought out the highest educational standards and most reliable equipment as he learned these fields.
After gaining certification in Neurofeedback and Audio Visual Entrainment, Kyle began to work with clients on this new path, transitioning away from talk therapy.

2008: Inner Rhythms Company
Adjustment Phase
Inner Rhythms was launched and Kyle quickly realized his clients were very interested in learning about the brain. He found himself educating clients on how the brain shuts down when in fear or trauma, as well as how to progress through talk therapy faster and with more awareness as the brain becomes healthier. The Inner Rhythms brain training coupled with the A Light of Hope audio programs became Kyle’s focus as he started an a more science-based path.
While Kyle was excited to bring this world of therapeutic science to the forefront, he was also going through a place of learning himself. He became aware that, in retrospect, going headfirst into science was a misstep, and he would soon learn that balance is needed.
2014: Mind Brain Balance
Realignment Phase
A reset on company philosophy included returning to the foundational therapeutic focus of Kyle’s early years as a therapist. A mind-based approach to wellness, coupled with the scientific and objective brainwave regulation of Inner Rhythms, married Kyle’s two passions. The company was rebranded as Mind Brain Balance and finally felt like home with the integrated approach of therapy and science.
Spreading the Message Phase
With renewed energy, Kyle was gaining speaking engagements and by 2018 was focused on writing a book based on this balanced approach to mental health. He was working on his Doctorate in Psychophysiology, and the clinic expanded to multiple locations, partnering with a top Neuropsychiatrist. His motivation was to reach the masses with his message that mind-brain health is needed.
Step Back Phase
In late 2019, amidst the complexity of all that had been started, Kyle was unfortunately in an accident. This one incident changed many things for him and the clinic, in addition to the pandemic looming just months later.
While recuperating from the accident, Kyle proudly gained his Doctorate in Psychophysiology and published his dissertation on Audio Visual Entrainment and its effect on Anxiety.
Mind Brain Balance pushed through the pandemic, continuing to serve clients at the main clinic. Kyle continued to recover, the book and speaking engagements were put on hold, and we focused on the basics - helping clients gain wellness through a program forged in science-backed therapy.
2021 Mind Brain Solutions
Commitment Phase
Another setback occurred for the clinic when, after 7 years, we were forced to change our company name. Our clients adjusted to us now as Mind Brain Solutions (MBS). Perseverance (and a trademark on our name) has ensured we continue our commitment to our clients, our method, and our future.
In 2025 another revitalization began at Mind Brain Solutions as Dr. Ferroly launched new tools and trainings to ensure our clinic continues to offer the newest in wellness options. He’s stayed connected with the fundamentals that created his business through the years - focusing on the mind-brain-body connection while providing data-backed therapeutic solutions.
Synergy Phase
In addition, after taking on the corporate world for many years and supporting Mind Brain Solutions as a silent partner, his wife has taken the leap of faith to become part of the team. Carolyn brings her real-world experience, blended with vast knowledge of MBS services, to support the clinic and help clients get the utmost in care and support.
We at Mind Brain Solutions are committed to providing therapy for the mind, science for the brain, and solutions for you.
